Great days out for all the family in the Costa Blanca

There are lots of great things to do here on the Costa Blanca in Spain for you and your family. With 320 days of sunshine a year, there are all kinds of things to do even if you are fed up with trips to the beach. You´ll have no problem keeping your kids entertained during the summer holidays. Here are just a few of the interesting days out available here on the Costa Blanca.

  • La Marina Camping Resort is a great way to enjoy a family holiday. Located along the beautiful blue flag Elche beach surrounded by nature. You can take your own tent or stay in one of the beautiful wooden cabins located in the Marina village, or you can just get a day pass and enjoy one day in the excellent quality facilities.  They have an amazing lake themed swimming pool built on two levels with many water slides, small children´s pool, shallow area with animal figures, water bar, and much more. There is something for everyone to enjoy. During the summer, they have special BBQ nights where you can bath until midnight. Other facilities include Jacuzzi, spa, gym, aquaerobics, kids club. There are live entertainment and a disco in the evenings, and other activities including archery, beach volleyball and wellness centre. Within the resort, there are restaurants and shops where you can stock up on all the necessities for a wonderful camping experience. This is, without doubt, one of the best locations for a family holiday along the Costa Blanca.
  • Dino Park Algar, is located about 8km inland from Altea in the hills. This is a fascinating experience for both children and adults, especially the dinosaur lovers. They have many dinosaur models hidden between the amazing cactuses that move and make lots of noise. There is a 3D cinema, a fossil sand pit, and kids swimming pool to cool off after an exciting walk round the park. There are two restaurants inside the park which are very reasonably priced, or there is a lovely relaxing picnic area.
  • Tentegorra Aventura is a multi-adventure park located just 5 minutes from Cartagena. This is a great fun day out for all the family. They have various adventure activities for all the family over 3000 square metres with breath-taking views of nature. They have a huge adventure playground with zip wires and rope bridges, and one of the largest interactive garden mazes in the world, with twelve exits where even the adults can get lost. They have a bar, restaurant, and children’s play area. There are three swimming pools, with big water slides (for children over 1,25m) and a model pirate ship in one of the pools for the children to play on. They have a paintball laser battle game in the woods with realistic looking weapons for the big kids to enjoy. They do special group packages and birthday parties. If you are not in a group you pay an entrance fee of 5€ for adults and 3€ for children which include the swimming pool facilities. You then pay extra for those that wan to brave the zip lines, maze or paint ball laser. At certain times of the year, ice skating is also available.
  • Lockdown Escape room, Benidorm is a unique experience for the more adventurous. This is an activity where a group of friends enter a building, complete a secret mission to try and escape in 60 minutes or less. There are several different scenarios to choose from, including a secret agent mystery and a zombie apocalypse. No physical strength needed just a bit of intelligence and teamwork to solve puzzles, search for clues and find out the secret code to escape. A very exciting activity for groups of 2 to 6 people. Children are allowed as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
  • Mundomar in Benidorm is an exotic animal park where you and your children can enjoy a swim with the dolphins! They have many different types of birds and mammals, a fantastic day out for animal lovers. You can have your picture taken with the animals and watch one of the many different shows. They have restaurants and picnic areas within the park, disabled access and gift shops. There is a special experience for kids between 6 and 11 years old where they can stay overnight and sleep by the dolphins. Other experiences available including be a dolphin and sea lion trainer for the day, be a park caretaker for the day. Here you are able to help feed and look after some of these fascinating animals. If you are in Benidorm anytime soon this is a must see for the whole family.
  • Aquapark flamingo in Torrevieja is a fantastic place if you like swimming and waterslides. They have slides suitable for all the family. It’s a very clean and safe environment with lots of lifeguards on hand. The kids will love a day out at this small but beautiful water park located near the Habaneras shopping centre in Torrevieja.
