N332

Early in December Spanish Solutions saw that the N332 group of Traffic police were hosting a coffee morning in Torrevieja to talk about driving issues. We contacted them and Amanda visited the Guardia Civil traffic officers in Torrevieja.

For those of you who are not aware, the N332 is a group of Spanish Traffic police officers in Torrevieja who had so many questions from expats on a daily basis about driving rules etc. that they decided to have decided to create a facebook page (which swiftly grew to more than 100,000 followers), then an actual website to inform the international community about the Spanish traffic laws. They say that they think it is unfair to fine people for breaking rules that they did not know about.

Finding Traffic Information

They were realising that unfortunately nowadays it is almost impossible to find a website where people can find reliable information about traffic laws in English, the official website of the DGT is in Spanish and even the English newspapers sometimes get it wrong (although not the Costa Blanca People as they collaborate with the N332  https://www.costablancapeople.com). They would like to help everyone with a better understanding of  Spanish traffic law, publishing articles every day, which they copy directly from the different traffic laws and translate so that people have a better understanding.

They do want people to realise that they do this in their free time so be patient if you have a question, send it to them on facebook and if they can not answer your question immediately as they will do it as soon as possible.

They do all their work for free, they want to help people in the way that they would like to be helped if they were living in other countries, plus dispel any myths about Spanish traffic police.

Although http://www.n332.es is not an official site, all the articles they publish have been copied and translated from the official sites.
They ask that people remember that they are a group of real police officers, but they do not represent the police or Guardia Civil because
they have their own official pages http://www.guardiacivil.eshttp://www.policia.es and http://www.dgt.es

The Annual 2017 E-Book

They have checked our blogs and pages on traffic matters and they invited me to write the foreword of their new e-book, which is in an easy to read format which you can download as a pdf to keep on your tablet, pc or mobile.

The N332 Annual 2017 is well worth less than 5€, and I hope many of you who drive in Spain will download it to keep. The Link is here:-  http://n332.es/2017/12/18/n332-the-annual-2017-out-now/  (just scroll down the page).  It is well worth the small amount of money and the funds will buy much-needed equipment for talks.

Their work is voluntary, they put many hours of free time into this and need all the support they can get in order to continue. Traffic laws in Spain are widely misunderstood and many of us see the heated debate and frequent misconceptions on the forums daily. By educating people to not listen to “bar talk” and clarifying important issues, these officers help keep us and our families safe.

If you like our facebook page Spanish Solutions Legal and Tax, then in the Summer, they will also be publishing a free e-book on driving rules in Spain (translated from Spanish for us all), which be a bit like a Highway Code. If you follow us on facebook we will advise you how to get this:- Spanish Solutions

Spanish Solutions deal with all types of traffic matters including change of ownership of cars, change to Spanish plates, debt checks on vehicles, new and renewal Spanish licences (please be very careful about whether you should still be driving in Spain with a foreign licence, or a car on foreign plates), and other matters.

Please note http://www.n332.es is their website, the N332 facebook page is N332 and if you like and follow Spanish Solutions

you can receive alerts about the free e-book in the Summer and other issues of note, so please like their facebook page and ours.
